The original painting was painted in 2025. It was painted intuitively while reminiscing on memories from Erikka’s childhood. The environment and surroundings she grew up in as a child are no longer a part of her life, since her family home burned down in 2015. Luckily I Didn’t Get Burned is a homage to the life that once was, while living out the life that now is.
