Impending was painted as a visual representation of how emotions approach us. Like seeing a storm approaching, there are times that emotional outbursts creep up on us, except we can’t always see it coming.
The original painting was painted in 2021, as a part of Color Grounds; a body of work inspired by weather patterns and its effect on the land and atmosphere. The paintings exist as a reflection of the layers of human emotions and how they can alter everyday life.
